Never Heard This

I’ve never officiated at a wedding at which I asked a spouse to promise, “I will love, honor, and cherish you as long as I feel loved and respected by you in ways that are meaningful to me.”

Promises made in at a wedding are unconditional.  They are covenental. Keeping them is not dependent on how effectively your spouse keeps his or her vows, loves you, or respects you. You keep your promises because you are a promise keeper.
